Her mom smiled over at Sedrick. "Do we need to take stock in coffee or is everyone just super sleepy today?" She asked, leaning against the counter.
Noelle's piercing scream echoed through the house and her mom walked up the stairs, knowing she was only having a nightmare. She stayed up there for a few minutes before she guided a half asleep Noelle down the stairs and to the table where she sat down, and laid her head down beside her plate. "Why won' Richard come cuddle?" She mumbled sleepily.
"Because you're in his way of setting the table."
"He'll get over it." She said, pushing her plate out of the way so she could fold her arms across her place. "I don't wanna go back.. I wanna stay with the boys.." She mumbled.
"Don't wanna go where?" Her mom asked, gently rubbing her back, but she was sound asleep again.

Sedrick shrugged, staring down at the floor quietly. Richard jumped at the scream, patted Noelle's back gently after she had been led downstairs and began to mumbled. He worked around her quietly though, glancing her way every so often, then towards his brother to make sure everything was alright there as well.

Her mom got the corn on the cob out, and onto a platter that she brought to the table before she got the lasagna and carried it to the table with her. She sat down in her spot, nudging Noelle.
"Are you gonna eat?" She asked her, gently stroking her hair.
"Yeah, in a minute. Sedrick okay?" She mumbled.
"He's okay."
"Where's Richard?"
"Right there. You got a thing for Richard, huh?"
"He's cuddly.. You know I don't like peas."
"It's not peas. It's corn."
"Don't like corn either.." She said, then yawned, curling back up.

Richard sat down near her, tried hiding his smile at her mother's comment about Noelle having a thing for him. If only she knew. "Sedrick, dinner.." He murmured, watching his brother slink towards them and sit down, rubbing at bruised wrists before he was reaching for his drink. Richard glanced towards Noelle's mother. "Oh, the doctor came by when you weren't here. Ricky still wasn't feeling good, so I think he's coming back tomorrow."

Her mother handed Sedrick a plate with lasagna on it, smiling over at him. She just wanted him to feel like he was welcome here. "Oh. Thank you. He's supposed to see if there's anything Sedrick can take to get rid of those voices he hears." She said, handing Richard his plate before she started to fix her's.

Richard watched Sedrick take the plate with a mumbled thank you and take a clearly hungry bite. Richard smiled at her faintly. "No problem," He breathed, reached to touch Noelle's hand gently. "Sleepy much?" He huffed with a smirk. "We should camp outside tonight in the grass." He wrinkled his nose at her.

Noelle opened her eyes, looking over at him. She gently turned her hand over, running her fingers over the palm of his hand. "You try mopping half the house. And yeah. That sounds fun. We have a whole bunch of sleeping bags in the shed." She said, slowly running her fingers over the lines in his hand.

Richard watched her trace his hand, smiled faintly. "Next time I will then," He insisted, glancing at Sedrick who was eating quietly. He peered back over at Noelle, then picked his fork up with his free hand, barely paying mind that her mother was right there.

"I like your hands.. They're strong and soft, like my daddy's." She said quietly before she pulled her hand away. But she didn't touch her food despite having eaten much in the last two days. She yawned again, looking over at Sedrick, then back at Richard.

Richard smiled faintly at that, it honestly being something that just.. Made him happy for some reason. But maybe it was because she was the one who said it. "Not hungry?" He breathed, glancing over as Sedrick finished his own meal and reached carefully for his drink, bruises dark along his stitched arms.

"No.." She said, then yawned, sitting up in her chair. She rubbed at her eye, looking over at her mother who was eating her food quietly, glancing occasionally over at the two before she looked at Sedrick. Noelle pulled her legs up into her chair, reaching up to run her hand through her short hair. "I think we still have those smoke lanterns that keep the bugs away. We can string them up on the clothes line in the back yard." She said, looking over at Richard. Her heart started pounding all over again, and she looked away before she started to blush.

"Alright," He murmured, standing and picking up the playes of everybody who was finished. He began to clean off, rinsing them all in the sink and putting cooking supplies away. He smiled over at her faintly.

She smiled over at him, a light blush creeping across her cheeks. She made her way outside, looking for the lanterns in the shed. She pulled them out, lining them up beside the house. Then she walked to the outdoor closet and started pulling out the sleeping bags, laying them out in the grass. She went back inside and into the laundry room for the extra quilts and blankets, laying those down too before she flopped down on it all with a yawn.

Richard finished cleaning up dinner, said goodnight to Sedrick and Noelle's mother, then wandered outside. He collapsed next to her with a grunt, reachig over to mess up her hair before he hugged her tight. "Mm, prepare to become my human blanket," He teased.

Noelle smiled, hugging him tightly. "I'm okay with that. But don't you think I'm a little too small for you?" She said with a chuckle, pulling one of the blankets up over him. She snuggled close, leaning up to kiss his forehead. "I had a mini-heart attack earlier when my mom said I had a thing for you." She said, gently running her hand over his chest.
