It was late. The night sky glowed with millions of stars, twinkling one by one. A few grey clouds drifted across the moon, sheilding it from view. Down below, a dark figure slipped in and out of the shadows. Haunching over, he quickly tried to regain his breath. If anything, it looked like he had just seen a ghost, but that wasn't even close.
Archer looked behind him, his eyes squinting to pear into the darkness. He had to have imagined it. But it was his stupidity that brought him here. 'Just go for a run, it'll get your mind off of everything.' 'They'll be done arguing when you get back.' His hands ran through his hair as he walked to the fence. Digging into his pocket, he pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Archer put one to his lips, gazing up to the sky as he brought the lighter up. Inhaling deeply, his eyes lids closed.

Eyes watched him from the shadows, a smirk crossing Jason's features from atop the fence. He fixed his beanie carefully, eyes beginning to glow as he looked down at Archer.
"Hey Archie, why the rush?" He rose a smooth brow quietly, hands bracing him as he swayed side to side. "Climb your ass up here, I want some'a that shit." He was, obviously, not sober. It wasn't a surprise though. Jason was a pretty damn nice and caring guy when he was completely straight in the head, but with him that was next to null. He shifted his weight, pulling a long branch from the tree above his to poke Archer lightly on the top o the head.

"Shit, Jason!" He cursed at the voice of his friend. Sticking his tongue out, Archie jumped to his feet and handed the cigarette over to Jason. Archie climbed his way up to a spot next to his buddy. "What'd you do tonight?" He asked as he pulled out his pack again. Lighting another cancer stick, he watched Jason, already knowing that he wasn't completely sober.

Jason smirked, snatching it up and taking a drag. "Drink. Smoke." He laughed, but it was somewhat bitter. But the main impact was wearing. "Family's gone. Again." An indifferent shrug as he took another drag on the cigarette and blew it out slowly, dropping the stick in his hand to the ground below. "But whatever."
He glanced over at him, bright eyes dimming some now that Archer was closer. "Und du?" He teased, wrinkling his nose up. His stomach growled. "Fuck I'm hungry."

He just shook his head lightly, taking another drag from his cigarette. Jason was a character that was for sure, but it didn't matter the trouble, Archie was by his side. "Where'd they go this time?" He had really only met Jason's family once out of the four years they had been friends. Which was weird, considering all the times Jason had been around his family. Sofia was in love with him, his mom thought he was an angel compared to Archie, and his dad was just glad Archie had a friend.
"Let's get you some food," He laughed, patting Jason on his shoulder lightly. Archer didn't want to throw him off balance. It was surprising he was able to climb the tree. "I don't know who keeps inviting you to parties and then, letting you run free. But then again, you're never blammed for the trouble." He smirked as he flicked the ash from the cigarette and taking another drag.

Jason smirked faintly, shrugging. "I dunno I just kinda.. Wandered away." Another bubbly laugh. He clamped the cigarette between his teeth, scaling down the fence and landing on his ass at the bottom. He snickered, trying to get up. It wasn't anything new that Jason loved Archer's little sister to death but couldn't stand his own. He finally go to his feet, taking another drag on his cigarette.

"I've heard that before," He laughed. Another rippled through the air as Jason landed on his ass. "Smooth." Archie was right behind him, only a little more graceful with his movements. He landed on his feet, and looked towards his friend. "Sof was sad you weren't there to get her from Gryphon's," He smirked as they started down the track and back toward the road. "She complained til' she went to bed."

Jason smirked. "Whatever," He huffed. He was obviously a little tipsy, couldn't walk a straight line. "Awh, I missed her to." He laughed, catching himself on Archer's arm. "Oops." Glancing around, he rubbed at his face, stretched some. "Do do doo..." Looking up at the sky, he found it only made him dizzy, stumbled.

Shaking his head, a smirk pulled at his lips as Jason bumped into him. He threw his arm around Jason's shoulders, helping him stand. "At least we don't have to walk the whole way," He laughed as the car came into view. "You wanna go somewhere or are you good with the food at the house?"
He unlocked the car and help open the passenger's side door. He shut the door when Jason was finally all the way. Archie made his way to the driver's side and quickly started the car before backing up and starting down the street.

Jason smirked, leaning up against him on the way back to the car. "Mm, let's make nachos," He drawled, crawling into the car slowly. He didn't bother with his seat belt, humming, and reached to crank the music, singing with it obnoxiously.
"La la la- so call me maybe." He smirked over at Archie.

He smirked as Jason sang, but never interrupted him. It wasn't long before they were pulling into the apartment complex and then, a parking spot. As Archie looked toward his apartment, he saw the lights still on and sighed. But luckily, Jason was welcomed with opened arms here. "Let's get you inside and feed," He shut the car off and jumped out of the car, making his way to Jason's side to help him out.
Archie supported his body as they made it to the front door. His mom and dad were on the couch watching TV while Sofia was in her room asleep. They looked to the front door as it swung open. His mom had the look of 'be quiet' and his dad was just smiling. "Look who made it home," The older's man voice was gruff from all the smoking. It was as if his dad and mom had never fought.
"Me and Jason are gonna make some nachos. His parents are gone so he's staying here," Archie chimmed as he closed the door behind them, trying to see if Jason could stand.

Jason climbed out with him, stumbling beside him towards the apartment. He waved at the two. It was a wondered he hadn't fallen off the fence back there, considering how he stumbled into the kitchen, a giggle passing his lips. He leaned against the counter. "Okay, deep breaths, get it together Jason," He whispered, began to snicker to himself. "Fuuuuck. Okay, food." He, of course, knew where everything was and began pulling things out.

Archie's father watched the boys with a smirk on his face, but said nothing as Jason stumbled to the kitchen. "Let's go to bed," He told Karrie before taking her hand and heading to their bed room. Archie walked over to the kitchen, starting to make the nachos as Jason grabbed everything they needed. "You want everything on 'em?" He asked, a grin on his face. It was something that barely ever left his face when the two were together. Jason was the trouble maker and Archie was there to clean it up, and that's how their friendship worked. But, he didn't complain. Jason was a good friend, sober.

"Duh," Jason drawled. He smirked. "Ahh your smile!" He pinched his cheek, humming to himself again as he pulled the shredded cheese from the fridge. He hugged Archer from behind, leaning to the side to smile before letting go and spreading the cheese over the chips. Brightened eyes looked his way. "Ohh yeah, and I dunno where they went. The family." he licked his lips, grabbing the can of olives and a knife despite how tipsy he was.

He wiggled away from Jason as his cheek was pinched. And then some more as he was hugged from behind. "So this is what it feels like to have Jason Wenworth all over you?" Archie laughed, "I don't see what the big deal is." He teased as Jason began to put cheese on the chips. His hand reached out snatching the beanie off of Jason's head. "Took you long enough to give me an answer," Archer stuck his tongue out, trading the beanie for the knife. He began to put the things they had already used away, but kept a steady eye on Jason to make sure he didn't do anything.
"Alright," He said as the nachos were finished. "Take these and I'll bring you a drink." Archie pulled two glasses down from the cabinet and put ice in them before filling them up with coke.
