"But you lose to much blood and die," She protested. Sofia jumped from her seat, tugging his hand lightly. "Archie can fix it, he fix everything."
Archie's lips parted as if he was about to say something, but instead he sipped from his shake. He didn't like to disappoint his little sister, but what else was he to do? Connor didn't want to come, and Archie wasn't going to make him. "There's gauze..," He offered.

Connor chewed on his snakebites. But he didn't want to disappoint her. She reminded him so much of his sister... "O-okay..." He whispered softly.
He finally looked up at Archie fir the first time, even though he never met his eyes. Teeth gritted and he looked away sharply soon after, letting out a quiet breath and watching the girl, trying to act like it wasn't such a big deal, like he wasn't terrified by the idea of following another guy home.

Sofia jumped up and down, excitedly. Her hand quickly snatched the cookie off the counter before she tried to pull Connor from his seat. "We gonna walk?" She asked, looking to Archer for the answer. He swished the shake back and forth, pushing the straw down so he could suck the rest out.
"We drove to the library," He answered, tossing the shake into the trash as he headed out the door. She followed quickly behind, but when they got outside she stayed by Connor's side, munching on her cookie. "I wanna sit by Connorr," She begged as Archie took her hand again and lead them across the street.
"You have to sit in your car seat," Archie peered down at her, running his hand through his hair smoothly.

Connor sighed. He didn't need her attached.. And he needed to get home before his father figured out that he had gone somewhere else after school.
He followed them back to the library and car, sliding in the back however, not comfortable with the guy. He didn't bother cover his bleeding arm with any form of pressure, because he honestly didn't care, considering he had done it to himself.

Sofia followed Archie to the driver's side, blabbing on about watching a movie. "That's fine," Archie answered, placing her in the car. He buckled her in and shut the door. She bit her lip, looking over at Connor. "What movie do you like?" She asked as Archer climbed into the front seat and started the car.
"Sof, He might not want to watch Happy Feet with you." He drawled, turning down the kid music she always had him play. Backing up, he quickly pulled out of the parking lot. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Sofia watching him in the mirror and he stuck his tounge out playfully.
"Why not?" "'Cause, I'm sure he has a life that he wants to get back to." He sighed, looking back as he made a right turn.

'Some life,' Connor thought bitterly. Oh if only this guy knew. He ground his teeth together absently until it hurt his bruised jaw to do so. Drawing a lrg up under himself, he rested his head against the window, eyes closing. His breaths rasped softly in his throat every time he breathed in and out, beginning to drift from being so exhausted. He rarely slept well at his house.

Archer sat quietly in the front seat the rest of the way. Sofia was too wrapped up in dancing to ask anymore questions. It wasn't long before they reached the apartments, and he pulled into a parking spot. He turned the car off, looking at the buildings with disappointment. Archie never did understand why his parents would drag them away from a nice house to live here, even though they didn't start off in living in these apartments. They moved here when Sofie was about two and his mom lost her job.
Sofie had already unbuckled herself, pulling on the door handle even though it was child-locked on her side. "Don't pull on the door, so I can let you." He shouted through the window, tapping on the glass to get her attention. She finally stopped, and he opened the door, peering across to Connor.

Connor stirred as they pulled up, thin body unfurling from his curled position on the seat. He coughed, grimacing, and got out shakily until he found his balance. He gazed at them tiredly, every aspect about him exhausted. He clearly wasn't doing good in life at all, and he was far too close to done.

"Key, paleasee," Sofia stuck her hand out, smiling greedily as he handed the keys over. She skipped past Connor, and rushed to the front door. Archie waited, his eyes watching the boy for a quick moment before he started after Sofie. She was just getting the key into the door and twisting it as the other two showed up. "We home!" Her voice rang through the living room in the apartment, no one in sight.
"No ones home, Sof. Dad went to work and mom went to find work.." Archer followed in after Connor, closing the door behind them. She laid the keys on the counter, and walked over to Connor. "This way," She took his hand, leading him down the hall and to the left. Archie went to the fridge first, grabbing two bottles of water. "You gotta move, he needs big bandages first." He spoke as he appeared near the door of the bathroom. "I got you some water, and you can just sit on the sink or toliet."

Connor caught him watching and looked away, crossing his arms as he followed. He fixed the backpack over his shoulders, a mewl escaping from eithin it as he followed them inside. Instantly he took in all rooms, obsticles and escapes, then sat down on the closed toilet, pushed his bloody sleeve up to reve the razor gashes over wrist.

Archie shrank back, blocking Sofia's sight as he revealed his arm. "Go to your room and find your favorite dolly," He told her, opening the cabinets below the sink. "I'm sorry she wrapped you into this.." He apologized as he stood back to his feet and turned the sink on so a steady stream of water spewed out. Dampening the rag, he gently took Connor's arm and began to wipe the blood away.

Connor shrugged, uneasy with the guy touching him. "I-it's okay.." He mumbled, clearing his throat with a grimace. He set his ratty backpack down, back sore from the healing belt lashes on it, the multitude of fresh scabs covering old scars. But they didn't need to know that was there. Even if the bruises of fingers littering his arm were rather prominent. He winced at the sting of the water against the raw gashes, working his jaw as he stared at the floor.

Archie studied his arm as he wiped it clean, wincing at the bruises and scratches. He kept quiet as he placed the rag down and picked up the gauze. The feeling that he should say something was there, but he couldn't bring himself to. He had just met the kid, and Archie didn't want to go around proding for answers when Connor didn't even want to talk to begin with. "He ready for band-aids?" Sofie's voice chirped as she skipped down the hall. A brown hair-ed doll, just like Sofia, was clutched close to her chest.
"Not yet.." Archie drawled as he began to wrap the gauze around his arm. "Do you want it tighter, or is that enough pressure?"

"That's f-fine," He mumbled, shifting his weight. Jasccar started crying in his backpack and he reached with his left hand to unzip the bag, could barely feel the touch on his right arm. He lifted the tiny blind, albino kitten from the bag. It was far too little to be away from it's mother yet. He set it in his lap, zipping the bag up hopefully before the guy saw the number of drugs within.

"It's a kitty!" Sofia clapped her hands joyfully, and tried to climb on top of Archer. He sighed with frustration, but let her continue as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Her doll's head dug into his shoulder blade each time she moved to get a better look. Finishing up the bandage, Archie took his own look at the kitten before unwrapping her arms and letting her slide back down to the floor. She wiggled past him, looking up to Connor as she reached her hand out. "What's his name?" Sofie asked, trying to see if it was okay to pet the kitten.
