"Richard!" She complained through a mouthful of food, and her dad reached over to mess it up too.
"Aw, poor Noelle." He said, wrinkling his nose, and her mother chuckled.
"All of the men around here don't understand. Except Sedrick. Cause Sedrick isn't a meanie head." She glared at Richard and her dad reached over to do it again.
"I'm not a meanie head." He complained, then smirked, starting on his burger again.

Richard laughed. "Sedrick isn't a meanie head?" He complained. "Did you seeee the way he tackled me earlier and threw that pillow at my head?" He shook his head with a smirk, but continued eating as Sedrick scoffed softly, eating far slower than the others. Richard glanced around again, smiled faintly at the antics between Noelle and her father.

"Maybe he's a little bit of a meanie head cause he told me he doesn't have to like me yesterday in the pool." He pouted, then popped a piece of lettuce in her mouth from her plate. She looked over at her mom, who was watching all of them with a happy smile on her face. She knew the woman was beyond happy to have a full house, even if the children weren't her own.

Richard laughed as Sedrick's nose crinkled. "That was yesterday," The dark haired boy groaned, voice hushed but amused nonetheless. Richard only shook his head. "Still counts," He teased, finishing his burger and taking a sip of the water he still had. "So ha."

"Why don't you love me, Sedrick?" She said with a laugh. She couldn't be serious when they were all acting so goofy, She reached up, brushing her hair back with the back of her hand. She took another bite of her food, swaying back and forth to the music on the radio.
"Who says you aren't graceful?" Her mom asked.
"My old teacher. But to be fair, I wasn't dead then, either." She shrugged, taking another bite of her burger.

Richard laughed as Sedrick stuck his tongue out. "Because I don't fall in love," He taunted with a faint smile. Richard scoffed. "You can still love her as a friend." He reached out and poked Noelle's nose with a crooked grin before making up another burger and biting into it. "Yeah, you're pretty graceful," He teased, smiling at her faintly.

"Yeah. But you still don't love me." She said, smiling over at him. She wrinkled her nose as Richard poked it, reaching over to put mustard on his. "How? I still trip over everything. And I've got like.. everything everywhere. And everyone else is eating like normal people." She shrugged, taking another bite out of her burger before she sat it down to wipe her hands off.

Richard groaned, reaching for a napkin to wipe it off. "I meant at dancing," He huffed playfully. "I didn't say you weren't a klutz at everything else." He rose an eyebrow in a teasing manner, and folded the napkin, setting it down by his plate as he reached to start eating his burger again.

"I come by it honestly." She said with a shrug, leaving it up to him to decide which of her parents were hopelessly clumsy- the nurse or the lawyer. She got finished with half her burger before she pushed it away. She wiped her hands, then leaned back in her seat, pulling her feet up to the edge.
"Don't sit like that, Tisha Noelle." Her dad said, and she dropped her feet, a yawn passing her lips.
"'m sorry, daddy." she mumbled.

Richard just smiled, hoping the nurse wasn't the clumsy one. He stretched carefully as he finished his second burger, glanced towards his brother. But like Noelle, Sedrick had only eaten half of his only burger and was looking uninterested. He had never eaten a lot compared to Richard, who could put away food like there was no tomorrow.

Noelle hummed to the radio, reaching up to rub her eye. By now it had gotten dark, considering they had been having a fairly late dinner. She yawned, looking over at Richard in the glow from the patio lights. "Anyone want a drink?" she asked, standing up from her seat.

Richard shook his head. "No, thanks." He breathed as Sedrick looked up. "Please," He murmured, running hands through his hair. Richard watched him quietly, glad he seemed a little more okay now than before.

"Mkay." She said, then walked inside to get the drinks. She came back out with her arms full of bottled juice, the kind she drank like it was going somewhere. She sat one down in her place, then handed one to each of her parents and Sedrick before she sat down, poking Richard's head as she passed him.

Richard ducked his head. "You're such a bully," He groaned, smirking. "Thank you," Sedrick mumbled, twisting the cap off the bottle and taking a swallow. He winced, rubbing tenderly at one of his wrists. Richard propped his head in his hand, watching them.

Noelle shrugged, then started singing to the song on the radio. She twisted the cap off her juice, taking a sip out of it before she screwed the top on it. "So, what all we got to do tomorrow?" Noelle asked, running a hand through her hair.
"If you guys are too messy from painting, we'll take you all clothes shopping. But if you are, we're just gonna wait until this weekend." Her mom said.
