Richard watched her head upstairs, and followed to get Sedrick a shirt. He heard her as he passed. "You can always crawl in bed with me or Sedrick if you get scared," He breathed, smiling faintly. He disappeared into Sedrick's room and grabbed him a shirt, heading back down the stairs and giving it to him.

Noelle jumped as he spoke, nodding hesitantly. She hadn't heard him following, not with the rain on the roof. She found her fancy shoes, which turned out to be the only shoe box she had. But she figured she could spare it for the puppy. She took the shoes out, then walked to her dresser to find an old t-shirt to lay in the bottom before she laid it in there. "Oh, look how warm you are." She said, slowly walking downstairs holding the box close.

Richard was sitting criss cross on the floor, looking down at his phone. Sedrick had a shirt on now, eyes half open but holding no emotion but exhaustion and irritability. He shifted his weight as Richard glanced briefly his way, then looked at Noelle, and finally at her parents. He yawned softly.

"I got your puppy a new box.." She told him quietly, sitting the puppy down by the sofa where he could touch it before she sat down in a chair. She reached up, running her fingers through her hair. Her mom was sewing, her dad sitting behind her watching her over her shoulder. She was almost tempted to tell them she liked Richard before she pushed the thought away, reaching for her phone.

Richard watched him reach to pet the puppy and murmur a thanks, then glanced at his phone. He rubbed at an eye, amazed how fast the day was going. Then again, it had been pretty eventful. He glanced up, met Sedrick's eyes. His brother bit his lip and looked down, then stoodCl, clearly bothered. He watched him hug Noelle and set the puppy beside her. "Glad you're okay.." He wandered off and Richard shrugged, guessing he was going to change out of his wet trunks and use the bathroom.
Sedrick wandered towards the back, pushing the slider open. The sound was masked by the rain and he pushed it halfway closed, tears falling down his cheeks. 'You did it to him, why not yourself.' 'Yeah! That's a sure way to die. And get rid of us.' 'Then you can burn in hell.'
He looked around, grabbed a toolbox and a rope, tied it at the end as his jaw trembled. He moved for the pool and sat on the edge near the deep end, tyed his wrists, wincing as it rubbed at the stitches. 'I love you Richie...' He thought brokenly, holding his breath and sliding in. But his lungs were soon burning and he parted his lips, panicked at the flood of water into his lungs, writhing. And finally, he just let it happen, shocked by the pain it brought. It hurt so bad, having nothing to breathe but the water that was drowning him.
Richard shifted his weight after several minutes, looked around. He got up and checked the bathrooms, frowned. "Anybody know where Sedrick was going?"

"Thanks.." Noelle mumbled, although she could hardly call herself okay. Each minute that passed grew harder and harder to deal with, the fact that soon it would be dark again. She hugged the puppy close, drawing her eyebrows together as Richard came in the room asking where Sedrick had gone.
"I du-" She started, then heard the sliding door slam open. She squeaked, then got up to close the door. She watched the pool for a second, wondering if they'd left the water running or something, why there would be so much motion. But then again, it could have been the wind, too. But still, something told her to go look. She sat the puppy on the porch, walking over to the pool. She screamed for Richard, and done the only thing she could think of- her wings unfurled and she jumped in, the wet feathers, dragging her down faster than satan coming for one of his minions. She didn't care if she couldn't get up, as long as he could. She fought the current of the water from the horrible wind, working on the knot on the tool box. It felt like forever she was working the knot before it finally came undone. She just prayed Richard had come out to get him, because she couldn't get back up. She kept trying to crawl to the shallow end, but the water kept pushing her back. 'I'm gonna have to cut off my own wings..' She thought.

Richard glanced up, called to her parents. He ran out the door as she undid the knot, dove in the pool without a care that he had his clothes on. Hauling his limp brothers body out of the water, he dove back under and helped Noelle towards the shallow end where she could hopefully get out on her own.
He laid Sedrick flat, working off the rope around his bleeding wrists, stitches torn loose, and shook him. "Ricky.." He choked, tears falling down his face and mixing with rain. "Ricky wake up.." He locked his fingers, pressing down on his brothers chest, trying to find a heartbeat after a moment with one hand. But he was shaking to bad. "You gotta wake up.." He cried, pulled his brother up and sat down behind him, pressing his fists against his torso. Water bubbled past Sedrick's pale lips and Richard cried out in agitation, brushed Ricky's hair from his face. "Please..."

Noelle was glad her dad was waiting at the shallow end for her, or the current might have sucked her back. He pulled her out of the water, carrying her over to the porch so her wings would dry. Her mother made her way through the rain to the boy's by the pool, pressing her fingers to his neck before she started CPR, trying to force up the water and get him to wake up. "When he starts coughing, hurry up and yank him on his side." She told Richard before she started CPR again.

Richard sat down in the graas beside them, tears falling steadily down his cheeks as he knotted and unknotted his fingers together, terrified his brother wouldn't wake up. "I can't do this alone.." He whispered brokenly, reached to rub at his eyes. Sedrick coughed, choking. He scrambled over and grabbed his shirt, pulling him onto his side as he began to cough up water, gagging and wheezing, body naturally trying breathe.

Noelle's mother patted his back, trying to get him to cough up the rest of the water. She knew she was going to have to re-stitch his arms for him. She looked up as Noelle's dad walked over, picking the boy up carefully and carrying him to the porch out of the rain. He sat him up, patting his back carefully. Her mom helped Richard to the porch, her arms wrapped tightly around him. She looked over at Noelle, who was watching her dad and Sedrick, tears falling down her cheeks.

Richard swallowed, stumbling with her to the porch, watching his brother curled in on himself, shivering, breaths still wheezing. He bit his lip, pulled away from the woman to go hug Noelle close, didn't care what they thought. It was clear Sedrick didn't want to be comforted. His jas trembled and he kissed the top of her head, mumbling a broken thank you, watching his brother continue to struggle in breathing.

Noelle leaned against him, her wings still soaked. She coughed, her lungs burning from not having her breathing treatment, and just breathing in more water. As hard as she had tried not to, it was difficult to go under water and not. "It's gonna be okay.." She whispered, closing her eyes.
Her dad continued to pat his back, her mom inside probably getting the first aid kit again. But the hard rain and wind had knocked the power off, and her dad hadn't been to the basement to turn on the generator on.

Richard buried his face in her wet wings. "You saved him.." He mimbled, hugging her tighter still. He straightened up some, rubbing at his face.
Sedrick gagged softly, tense and upset. He shivered again, beyond cold, was upset they had found him.

"He saved me.. And besides.. I don't know what I'd do without you two.." She said quietly, running her hands slowly up and down his arm. She looked up as her mom came out with a gas lamp and her first aid kit, sitting down to stitch Sedrick up again. Noelle yawned, leaning up to kiss his jaw gently before she sat up, trying to get some of the water out of her wings.

Richard tilted his head some at the kiss, watching them quietly. Sedrick was staring down at his bleeding arms, breathing ruggedly. He looked beyond pale and sick, and honestly for once, scared. Richard lowered his gaze, fingers playing with the edge of Noelle's wet shirt. Adrenalin had got the best of him before, but now he was starting to get cold.
