Sedrick glanced at her wildly, tears falling down his cheeks anguish in his eyes. He covered his ears, gripping his head again. Richard bit his lip, just rubbing his back gently. He grunted as he lifted his brother, them being about the same weight, and laid him in bed, covering his shivering frame. "Just close your eyes, okay..? Rest until you stop hearing them.." He continued stroking his hair until his twin brother calmed some, then patted the bed for the dog. Eyes fell to the picture of their mother and father on the nightstand, their mother a gorgeous brunette, father a red head like him. He fell still, just gazing at it quietly. Finally tearing his eyes away, he crouched next to Sedricks stuff, pulled out a baggy of marijuana and several razors and blades they must have missed when searching his things.

Noelle watched the two of them get up, and got up herself. She stood by the door, chewing on her thumb. When Richard patted the bed, Dice waddled over to him and climbed up on the bed with an odd elegance for being so big. She laid down on her side, putting a paw over her muzzle. Noelle just walked to her room and closed the door, changing out of her vest and t-shirt. Her wings unfurled from her back, and she winced, still not used to it. But her back didn't ache anymore. She walked over to her closet, fishing out a strapless tank, and pulled it on, careful of her wings. She walked slowly out of the room, and to the stair railing. She walked around the big half-circle, stopping above the den.
"Daddy? Can you get my book?" She called, her wings swaying slowly back and forth as she leaned against the stair railing.

Richard gathered the things, careful not to cut himself, and stepped out of the room, leaving the door open just in case. He nearly ran into Noelle, blinked. "Woah...hello there..angel.." He only knew of the unnatural because of a friend, but it didn't mean he was used to it. Even so he didn't ogle, just gazed over at the guy, or his foster father, or whatever he should call him. "You have a place we can lock these up..?"

"Hi." She said with a smile. She leaned dangerously over the railing, straining to grab her book. She bit her lip, her dad taking the things from him and walking to the back of the house where his personal office was. Her mother looked up from her sewing.
"The pizza will be here soon. Where'd Dice go?" She asked.
"With the other one."
"Don't be pressing on her belly." And Noelle just nodded, walking back into her room. She climbed into the window seat her dad had installed, and laid on her stomach, opening her book. She started to read it slowly, her wings swaying back and forth.

Richard huffed, continuing down the stairs. For the most part, Sedrick could deal with things on his own. And Noelle was up there to hear if there were any problems. He guessed from this point it would just be Ricky's stressed breathing and occasional sounds.
Letting out a gusty breath, he sat down on the free sofa, glancing at the woman before running a hand through his hair.

Her mother smiled at him, then looked back at her sewing. "You and Noelle can go swimming if you'd like. You just have to get her nose out of that book." She teased, holding the sewing out at arm's length to check it before she started on it again. "Or we have a whole bunch of board games and stuff in the game room the two of you can play. She's just really shy. Especially around boys. Unless you wanna stay down here with me." She smiled his way.

Richard shrugged a bit, despite wanting to go an do something. Dinner should be here soon, anyway. "I'll left her read," He breathed softly, shifting his weight and pulling a leg up under himself. He listened for anymore noise upstairs but it was quiet, and he hoped Sedrick had listened to him and was up there relaxing.

Her mother just continued sewing, focused on her stitches until the doorbell rang. She got up from her chair, walking to the front door. She signed for the pizza and took it from the boy with a smile before she turned and started towards the dining room. She sat down the boxes on the table and started to the kitchen for the plates and the napkins.
Noelle came bouncing downstairs, walking slowly to her dad's office. He mentioned something about her running around the house in a sleeveless top being wrong with boys around. She walked to the den, peeking in. "Hi. Dinner."

Richard glanced up from his phone, waved and smiled faintly. "Thanks.. You wanna go get Sedrick?" He stood up, stooping to pick up a feather from her wing that had fallen. He tickled her nose with it as he passed, was clearly making himself right at home, unlike his brother. He wandered into the dining room once he actually found it.

She wrinkled her nose as he tickled it, but smiled nonetheless. She was glad he felt welcomed here. She started up the stairs, walking into Sedrick's room. She knocked gently on the door, and Dice's ears shot up. She could tell the dog was in pain, and would probably be having her puppies soon. She climbed slowly off the bed, walking to the door. "Aw, poor Dice. Full to the brim with little baby puppies." She said, patting her head. "That's a good girl, huh?" She smiled over at the boy, walking over to pull on his hand. "Come on. Dinner's here."

Sedrick looked up as she knocked on the door, and he rubbed at his face. He sat up, running his free hand through his hair as she pulled on the other one. Reaching for his beanie he pulled it on, eyes not exactly showing any joy, though he watched the mother dog fondly. 'She's going to be a mother, but will she die, to? Your fault Ricky, you could have saved her.' 'Don't listen to him, she was already nearly dead.' His teeth gritted, grip tightening on her hand before he let it go and wandered down the stairs.
Richard glanced up as the two came down, bent to pat the dog before sliding a plate of pizza towards the other two.

Noelle saw the boy watching the dog and smiled. She squeezed his hand as he squeezed hers, holding tightly to it to comfort him. "The other dog's all pretty. He's got grey and white on him, so the puppies might be all speckled. You want a puppy? Dad said we can keep them if we take care of them. There's five." She asked, looking over at him. She smiled as the other boy handed her a plate, sitting down at the other end of the table. Dice laid down at her feet, and Noelle wiggled her toes in her fur. "Aw, Dice gonna be a moma." She sang, peeking under the table at the dog. "I think she's gonna have her puppies." She told her dad.

Sedrick shrugged. "Maybe.." He murmured, the second time he had spoken in two weeks, the first he had since then other than Rich.
Richard watched them as Ricky sat down on the other side, picking at his pizza halfheartedly. He only shook his head, working on his own pizza as he watched Sedrick and Noelle, smiling at her little comments. He knew Ricky liked animals, hoped maybe it would make him feel a little more accepted.

Noelle looked up, catching Richard's eye. She smiled, reaching for the cheese pizza. She took a bite of it, then sat it on her plate, pulling off the crust with the cheese in it. She brought it to her mouth, taking a bite out of it. She glanced back up at Richard, wiggling her toes in the dog's fur again. The dog whined, obviously in pain. The dog got up and walked out of the room slowly, her head down.
"Guess so." Her dad said, taking a bite of the pizza. Noelle glanced over at Sedrick.
"Maybe she'll have her puppies tonight, huh?" She asked, taking another bite of her crust. But her eyes wandered back to the other twin.

Richard smiled faintly as she looked his way, shifting his weight and reaching for another piece of pizza. He was glad she was at least talking, smiling.
"Yeah.." Sedrick breathed, rubbing at his wrist absently before taking another bite of pizza.
As Noelle's eyes wandered from his brother back to him again, though, he rose an eyebrow playfully.
