"Maybe after awhile they'll let you have toys for her," She smiled and pulled her knees close. "She could probably use one of those scratch toys." Koty tucked her hair behind her ear, looked Damon over before watching Lillian eat. "Atleast someone enojys what I bring." She teased, giggling softly.

"Yeah maybe," He breathed, huffing at her comment about the food. He glanced up as a caretaker passed with a patient who was mumbling to themselves. "How about we go to the mall and get some shopping in?" The guy asked her.
Damon watched them leave longingly and rubbed at his face.
But he mnew he was far from allowed to leave. They would evaluate him, try and get him to talk about things. But honestly he didn't completely understand wha was wrong. Then again, most crazy people didn't.

Koty chewed at her lip, turned her head to see what he was looking at. "So, you don't completely hate people, do you?" She asked, looking back to him. Her eyes wondered down to her hands as she picked at her nails, glancing up at Damon every once and awhile.

Damon glanced at her briefly. "No.. I don't hate people," He insisted softly, face dejected. He really didn't, it was the problem of certain triggers that made it seem so. Like Dakota. He didn't mind her company at all. But the fork incident the other night had made it seem otherwise. A trigger in the right environment had hurt her.

She nodded slowly, chewing her lip. "Therefore, if someone stuck around long enough to get you know, there would be a less chance of them getting hurt?" Koty rose her eyebrow, peeking up from her nails. It wouldn't be as bad as what other people would ask him. She wasn't prying into his personal thoughts. Not yet, anyways.

Damon hesitated. "I dunno..probably.. Never had anyone get close though.. People avoid me as much as possible." He shifted his weight, picking Lillian up when she wandered towards him, studying her little smashed face with a faint smile.

Koty nodded and leaned back on her hands. "Makes sense, not that you're a bad person, 'cause you're not. You just get freaked out easily, and people don't know how to handle it." She shrugged, tried to roll the kinks out of her neck. "It's like giving a little kid a pet. They don't know how to take care of it unless you help them and teach them."

Damon frowned. "I guess," He murmured softly, thinking that surgeon sure hadn't known how to take care of him. He bit his lip. Sharp objects, a closed off room and skin contact had only been asking for trouble. He yawned softly, stomach growling.

Koty yawned, reaching one hand up to cover her mouth. "Why are you frowning?" She asked, tilting her head to the side just a bit. She chewed on the inside of her check as she watched Damon. "Someone's hungry."

Damon shrugged. "Just thinking," He murmured softly. But he shook his head stubbornly at her next question. "Don't want to eat," He insisted.

"Yeah, yeah.. I know." She smiled, and laid back on the floor. "But maybe after awhile you'll change your mind, and I gotta be prepared." Koty snickered to herself and adjusted her hands under her head.

"No," He groaned in complaint, but a faint smile passed his lips despite himself. He glanced over at her curiously for a moment, then away again.

Her eyes were back to starring at the ceiling, but the light began to hurt them, and they closed. "It's weird how after you stare at a light, little shapes appear in your vision when you blink." She forced herself to sit up, still wasn't trusting enough to have her vision imparied again.

"Then don't stare at the light," He murmured softly, shifting his weight. His hand brushed her own and he tensed. But it had been his own fault, and he pulled it away slowly, reaching to rub at his face. He watched caretakers coming and going, some with patients, and sighed.

Koty glanced at him, the last little shapes disappearing, and stuck her tongue. A chill went down her spine at the touch, but she didn't make any movement until he had taken his hand back. "Why do you wanna go outside so bad?"
