[ACE] Devil's duty

Ace watched him intently, chewing on his lip. He looked over at him, his stomach suddenly full of butterflies. "Have.. you ever kissed anyone with those?" He asked quietly, blushing a bit.

[derek chandler ralston]

Derek blinked, caught off guard by the question, then grinned slightly. "Yeah." Most of his one nighters had been with inhuman species so he wouldn't have to worry about such problems. But he supposed it would be far different kissing somebody with wolf teeth than a normal person any day.

Ace smiled, laying his head back down on his arms. He played with his hair, chewing on his lip before he spoke again. "They're kinda cool. I don't have much canines to begin with. But I guess my dad only eats fish so I don't really need any." He shrugged, twirling his hair around his finger slowly.

Derek nodded slowly, thinking about that for a moment. "Does that mean you like fish, too?" He questioned curiously. He yawned and stretched a bit, watching Ace play with his hair, aware of every movement he made.

"Fried and baked fish. I never much liked fish sticks. They're an abomination." He said quietly, pushing his hair back down before he started twirling it around his finger again. "I just can't eat peanut butter. But I really like fruits. Like berries and apples and stuff. Not so much bananas. I can't carry one around without it getting ruined."

A chuckle passed Derek's lips. "Fish is good. Peanut butter is a pain in the ass." He smirked. "I like fruit, but of course I'm biased, and nothing is better than meat." In both senses, he supposed, biting gently down on his lip so he would puncture the skin.

Ace shrugged. "I could never eat peanut butter. My grandma gave it to me when I was little and I went into shock, she said." He mumbled, watching him bite his lip. "I like meat. Just not a lot of it at one time. I don't like milk, either."

[derek chandler ralston]

"Too bad about your allergy there. But we'll check our food to keep you safe." He patted his shoulder, listening to him quietly. "You just don't like it? Or does it make you sick?"

"I just don't like how when you drink it, it gets all warm on your stomach. It makes me feel sick. But I never get milk anyways." He shrugged, chewing on his lip for a moment. "When you're in foster care, you don't get a lot of stuff. Especially when you're never in one place more than a month."

Derek frowned. "I bet.. But you're not going back there now, Ace. Okay? I promise." He sat up slowly and offered the boy a smile, scratching at his arm as he looked around the little living room again.

"I know. I trust you." He said, looking up at him as he sat up. He looked over his face before he looked away sheepishly, playing with his hair again. He traced his finger slowly over the carpet. "I never liked carpet."

A smile passed Derek's lips at that. He stood slowly, dusting himself off when Ace spoke again. "No? Well how anout we get that walk in, hm?"

Ace nodded, standing up carefully. He dusted off his shirt, then his pants, then raised his arms over his head in a stretch. He didn't care much that his shirt rode up since it was just him and Derek. He fixed his shirt, walking over to the door.

Derek studied Ace's stomach discreetly, and then mentally bashed on himself for it as he started out the door and locked up, waiting for Ace before taking the stairs.

Ace followed after him, trailing after him on the stairs. "Can I have a piggy back ride?" He asked, looking up at him. 'I have never seen someone so attractive in my life..' He thought, but it was quickly interrupted by Hades. 'You'll never have him. He has bigger fish to fry. There's millions of other people he can have if he's so attractive.'
