[ACE] Devil's duty

[derek chandler ralston]

Derek nodded, looking around quietly and peering into each room. He wondered if Ace would still sleep with him, but had taken the two so Ace could still have his privacy if he needed. "We'll have to get some furniture, unless-.." He collapsed lazily on the floor, wrinkling his nose at Ace.

[aerin 'ace' colt endsley]

"We can always pretend to be Japanese." He said, walking to the window to look out. He stood there a moment before he walked over to Derek, sitting down next to him. He put the helmet in his lap, looking down at it. "It's really quiet.." He said finally, looking over at Derek.

"Yeah it is.." Derek murmured, yawning. "We could grab the truck and go get the basics we need at the store if you want. Or we can take a stroll through the woods first, or something." He rolled onto his stomach, tucking his arms under his chin.

[aerin 'ace' colt endsley]

"Whatever you wanna do." He said quietly, laying back on him. He put the helmet beside him, drawing his knees up. "Either is fine with me." He yawned, picking at his thumb again. "What is love, Derek?" He asked quietly, chewing on his lip.

Derek shifted his weight. "We can walk through the woods, find that water.." But his question caught him off guard. Derek's eyebrows furrowed. "I..don't know anymore..." He bit his lip. "I've never...really fallen in love."

[aerin 'ace' colt endsley]

Ace nodded, messing with his fingers quietly. He felt bad for asking, hoped it hadn't made him remember anything he'd been keeping inside. He brought his thumb up to his mouth, chewing on it a minute. "Neither have I.." He finally said, picking at his nail again. "But Hades is going to make sure no one loves me anyways. I'm not supposed to be here.."

Derek rolled onto his side, reaching to touch Ace's hand. "He'll do no such thing or I'll find a way to beat his ass. You deserve love after so long. And you'll find it.." He searched his face.

[aerin 'ace' colt endsley]

Ace shrugged, laying his head on the floor. He slowly ran his finger over the palm of Derek's hand, his blue eyes searching his face. "I'm okay if no one treats me as good as you do. My grannie used to say you only need one person." He said quietly.

"Mm..she sounds like she was wise.." Derek murmured, eyes tracing every line of Ace's face. He finally rolled onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. It was hard to believe he was caring for a teenage now, one who was pretty damn attractive.
'You'll ruin him,' Hades taunted. Every other voice in his head decided to join in as well.

"Ladies don't grow old. They grow wiser." He said quietly, closing his eyes. He pulled Derek's hand a little closer, holding it tightly. He yawned, slowly running his hand up and down his stomach. It felt wrong, knowing he was drawn to Derek, and now they were sharing a place. But it felt right, in the same way. 'He'll never want you, son of Poseidon. He's a grown man. What does he want with a baby like you?' That familiar voice taunted.

Derek smiled faintly as his hand was pulled closer. A soft breath passed his lips and all those voices faded away. Finally he shifted his weight, knowing he should get up. But instead he just draped his arm gently over Ace and settled down again, cheek pressed to the carpet.

Ace tipped his head back to look at him, reaching back to gently push his hair out of his face. He turned over onto his stomach, looking over at Derek. "I.. Are you from here?" He asked quietly, laying his head down on his arms so he could look at him. "Do you know any stories?"

"Mm..don't know where I was born, but I've been a lot of places." He yawned and opened his eyes, fazing quietly at Ace. "But what kinds of stories..?" He moved his hand to the boy's back absently.

Ace shrugged, blushing a bit at the feeling of Derek's hand on his back. He reached over, slowly running his finger over Derek's jaw. "Stories like my grandma used to tell me.. Only not in Greek because I don't remember any Greek."

Derek chuckled, smiling at the touch over his jaw. "I don't know any Greek, either, so that's okay." He ran his tongue thoughtfully over his teeth for a moment, trying to think if a story.
