SOMEBODY I USED TO KNOW
Here is what you missed on Glee. Seven years have passed since the original six members of New Directions have graduated, and they are well off into their lives, which hasn't been all sunshine and roses. Some of them have gone off to become lawyers, some joined the armed forces and others have actually gone to Broadway like they have planned. While life for the old glee club members moved on, things for Ohio high schools had changed.
BUT YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO CUT ME OFF
When New Directions won Nationals in June of 2012, not only did they change how the glee club was treated but they also brought it more members. That was also the same year Mercedes Jones was offered a recording contract along with Sunshine from Vocal Adrenalin and Thad from the Warblers. Talent agencies had started looking at the Glee club competitions for their "Next Big Thing," which was exactly what they found in the three people they picked. However, scouts from NYADA and Juilliard and other top Performing Arts schools were offering scholarships to students who didn't get the record deals.
MAKE OUT LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED AND THAT WE WERE NOTHING
It had completely changed how Glee clubs were looked at.
In seven years, McKinley had not won another national show choir competition, but they continued to change the rules of Show Choir all together. The Warblers went on to win two years in a row while VA won the next two years before the Warblers came back and stole the title again. Now all three schools are looking to win not only the National Show Choir trophy but individual students are also looking to get the record deals. Which has started fights and feuds amongst the Glee clubs members.
AND I DON'T EVEN NEED YOUR LOVE
For the students not as musically talented, there's also the option for the Olympics. Previously, possible Olympians had to be homeschooled, in order to devote more time to training, but a lot of high schools in America have started a new program that allows athletes to train and go to school. Dalton and McKinley both have at least one hopeful each, and they're looking for more.
BUT YOU TREAT ME LIKE A STRANGER AND THAT FEELS SO ROUGH
Like always, life will move on for them no matter if they get the National Trophy, the recording deal or the scholarships, life always moves on even if they don't want it too. So, where will you be standing when a decade has passed for you?
NO YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO STOOP SO LOW
