Derek nodded slowly, gently touching her cheek. "To abandon her would be hypocritical, in our position.." He murmured softly.

[aerin 'ace' colt endsley]

"Yeah, kinda.." Ace mumbled, trying to pull his finger back. But she had a death grip on him. He laid his head on Derek's shoulder, watching her sadly. "It's not her fault.. She can't help what she is."

"Mhm..." Derek ran fingers through Ace's hair, gazing at the girl. "So...names..?"

"I don't- OW SHE HAS TEETH!" He cried out, gently pulling his finger back. She started to cry, pulling on Derek's shirt. "Aw, sweetie.." He breathed, pulling her close to hug her. "Teeth are good. I like your teeth. You made some nice teeth." He said, slowly rubbing her back. He waited for her to calm down before he sat her in his lap. "I don't know any names.. Besides Greek gods and goddesses."

Derek bit his lip awkwardly when she grabbed his shirt, patted her back until Ace took her. He frowned, feeling bad that he was being worse at caring for her than Ace was. "Hm..."

"Maybe if we give her a nice name, it'll be like good luck or something. She'll be okay when she grows up.." He suggested. He looked down at her, watching her slowly crawl towards the window again. "Like Rain or Celeste.." He looked over at Derek, biting his lip gently.

"I like Celeste.." He murmured, watching her. He thought it so messed up, he was the guardian of Ace, but falling for him, and this was Ace's daughter but he planned on helping care for her. He watched her return to the window. "I wonder if she likes the outdoors. Maybe we can go back out to the woods, water, tomorrow."

"Celeste it is then." He said quietly, ringing his hands together in his lap. He guessed he'd have to find a job, some way to take care of her. He didn't want Derek having to do everything. "Maybe she does." He smiled, watching the small girl reach out to try and touch a butterfly. "I don't know anything about kids.. I had to raise myself for the most part. I never liked kids." He mumbled, reaching over to pull her back by the dress before she could fall out the window.

"Same here," Derek offered guiltily. "Chantel was a wolf, you're practically grown.." He shrugged. "I..guess we do our best, huh?"

"Guess so.." Ace said quietly, pulling the little girl into his lap. She looked up at him, then at Derek. "I think Celeste will fit you just fine." He told her, playing gently with her hair.

Derek gazed down at her quietly, then yawned, his teeth flashing in the light of the apartment.

Ace hugged her close as she curled up, sucking on her thumb. He ran his hand slowly over her back, but it wasn't long before she was sound asleep. "She can sleep in the bed with me, right?" He asked, looking over at Derek.

"Yeah. Idon't see why not." Derek smiled at him, getting up and waiting in case Ace needed help up as well.

"I just don't wanna scare her or something." He said, carefully standing up with her. He carried her into his bedroom, tucking her in at the middle of the bed. "She's a beautiful little girl.." He breathed, gently taking out her ponytail holders.

Derek smiled as he watched him. He kissed the corner of Ace's mouth, hugging him close. "Mm..only because she's yours."
