OCTOBER 21 ------ SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
A soft breeze danced across the streets, causing the fallen leaves to sweep up into the air once more. The sun moved from behind the clouds, letting it's rays warm the earth. Children's laughter filled the air as they chased one another. Not too far off, Cameron could be spotted with a basket in his hand. A soft smirk played across his lips as a familiar house came into view. Taking in a deep breath, he started up the stairs.
The last time he had been here, he had stayed the night. He chewed on his lip as he thought back. Inside the house was a gorgeous, young girl. She had wavy, ginger hair and thousands upon thousands of freckles. A smile pulled at his lips as he began to picture her. With a quick shake of his head, Cameron pushed the day dreams to the side and knocked on the door.

Lainee was working on hemming a dress she needed for an event her father was bringing her and her mother to. But being so disproportional -thin yet shorter than the rest of the girls her size- she had to hem all her dresses or risk ruining them by letting them drag on the ground. "Ow!" She squeaked as she poked herself with the needle, looking towards the door. She gathered up the dress in her arms and walked to the door, opening it slowly. "Ew. What are you doing on my door step!?" She asked with a playful smile. "You know we don't like your kind around here." She made her way back to the sofa she'd been sitting on, feeling around for her needle in the hem again.
"What's in the basket?" She asked, wincing as she poked herself with the needle again. She fished it out, then started sewing the hem again.

His face lit up as Lainee opened the door. Cameron stuck his tongue out playfully in reply to her remark before he followed her into the house. He traced her figure over, letting a toothy grin show as he sat down beside her. "It's a picnic basket for two," He answered. He sat the basket down on the floor and turned to look at Elaine's face. Brushing his thumb across her cheek, he removed a fallen eyelash. "I thought I'd suprise you."
"Is this a new dress?" Cameron asked as he leaned back into the couch, watching her fingers work the needle around the hem. He ran a hand through his hair, pushing his bangs away from his forehead.

Even something so small as him brushing is hand over her cheek was enough to make her heart beat a little harder. She adored the boy. A lot. Something about him was just.. amazing. She wondered for a moment if he'd found his daughter, but she didn't bother asking. She didn't want to upset him. She smiled softly. "Well, thank you." She said quietly.
Lainee nodded, sewing the hem of her dress carefully. "Mhm. Dad's bringing me and mom to this thing. I forgot what it was." She knotted the end of her string, then clipped it. She carried it to the chair where she draped it over the back. "You wanna come?"

"I'd love to go. When is it?" More than likely, Cameron would need to go clothes to wear to the event. Most of the clothes he had now were jeans and t-shirts that may or may not have holes and stains. Moving from the couch, he pulled Lainee into his arms before planting a kiss softly on her lips. Cam held her close against him as his eyes wondered around her face, stopping when he met her eyes. "What should I wear?"
