Sofie stayed where she was, eyes going between Connor and Jason. 'Fuck' Archer thought, and sat down on the bed next to Jason. He put his body in the way of the two, hoping that would stop them from doing anything. "Jason, stop. This is not the time for any of that." His voice was low and smooth. He tried to stay as calm as he could.

Connor huffed, running a hand through his hair, revealing his scarred and wrapped arm.
But Jason was ignoring Archer, perhaps not realizing how rude he was being. "Did you like, go through a blender or something?" He sneered, raising an eyebrow. "You look like a hobo." A hazy smile and Connor had enogh, lunged at him over Archer, hands finding his throat. Jason gagged, laughing. "Temper, temper." His eyes flashed and he shoved Connor to the floor, snickered as he cried out. "Oh, please."
He rose an eyebrow, but Connor wasn't paying attention, trying not to go into an attack. He gritted his teeth, sitting up, grabbed Jason's leg to pull him. Jason's eyes flashed and he kicked out, hit him in the stomach. Connor gagged, tensing as he drew back, drawig in wheezing breaths.

In the blink of an eye, Archer's entire room went into chaos. Jason and Connor were fighting, Sofie was starting to cry, and Archie didn't have enough hands to stop everything. "Stop.. stop..." He pleaded, patting her back. But it didn't work. "I swear to freakin' god!" He growled, leaping off the bed to the two boys. He pulled them apart, slinging Jason toward the closet and Connor toward the bed. Archie was a lot stronger than most thought, but it only showed when he got very angry. His door swung open, a mad mother standing in the hall. "Archer Mason Riley! Get Sofia to bed and keep quiet!" Her voice wasn't loud, but it cut like a knife through the air. Sofie sobbed, jumping down from the bed and running to her mother. "Fine, come on, sweetie." Karrie smiled sweetly down at her little girl before looking back to the three boys. "Keep it down! Hey Jason, and welcome back Connor." She closed the door behind her as she left.

"Fuck you Archer!" Jason spat from against the closet.
Connor kept curled up near the bed away from both of them, uneasy. He coughed softly, angry tears running down his face.
"I was just tryin'a have some fun. Not my fault you're a douche and a wimp."
Connor glared at him weakly, but was taking the name calling now. He was used to being beat on and called names by his father, as well as by people at school. He rubbed at his face, shrinking back as Jason moved closer to study him with a raised eyebrow. "Somebody beat you?" He asked more earnestly, but still just as nosy. "Leave me a-alone!"

"I'm not dealing with this shit, Jason." He growled, moving as Jason moved. Archie wasn't about to let anything else happen to Connor. He had been through enough today, and Archie couldn't stop the dad, but he sure could stop Jason. "Don't move any closer," He moved in front of Jason, sizing the boy up. Archer wasn't a wimp. He had been in plenty of fights. And some had even been with Jason. "I'm not kidding." Archie warned, looking at Jason's face.

Connor didn't move, staring between them warily until Jason scoffed. He reached out and grabbed Connor's arm. Connor tensed. "Duuude! Why'd you do this to-" He cocked his arm back and struck Jason across the face. Or tried. The encant ducked away from the hit, laughed.

Archie shook his head warily, watching as Jason ducked away. "Why can't you be sober..." He sighed, taking Jason by the hand and walking back to the bed. He plopped down, pulling on Jason's arm. "Sit down, please?" Archer asked in the sweetest voice he could manage. He didn't mind the unsober Jason, but he wasn't always a fun guy to have around. Archie looked over to Connor.

Connor watched Jason plop down and drape arms around Archer, and sighed. He got up slowly, slinking towards the door. He didn't want to share a room with them if he wouldn't be left alone. He coughed huskily, brushing tears from his face as he left the room and wandered to the couch, curling up.

"Ugh.." He groaned, watching Connor disappear into the hall. "Do you see what you did?" Archie asked, tilting Jason's head up slightly before letting it rest back on his shoulder. He couldn't help but shake his head again. He didn't know what Connor was doing and it scared him some. Archer didn't want him to get hurt because of Jason. Jason just made it hard to like him. He wasn't that bad of a kid, he just took time to get used. "And you scared Sofie," Archer sighed again, his head tilted to look down at the floor.

Connor reached for his backpack and drew it close, shuffling through things. He pulled out one of his favorite letters from his sister, reading it over, and was soon asleep with it lying on his thin chest, drawing in shallow breaths and tossing and turning throughout the night.
Jason huffed. "Sorryy.." He drawled softly, nestling close.

Archie huffed, he wasn't sure to believe the apology. But it didn't make a difference. Jason was only himself. "What's so wrong with being sober?" He mumbled. It was a rhetorical question, he didn't need an answer. Archer was just ready for bed, he felt drained. He unlatched Jason from around him, laying him back down on a pillow. Archie walked around to the other side and climbed in, laying on his back with his hands beneath his head. He stared up at the ceiling, hoping things would be okay in the morning.

"Them winning.." He slurred, curling up close. "Everythin' actually mattering.. That's wa's wrong." He yawned, closing his eyes and burying his face in the pillow. Soon enough his breaths deepened with sleep.

Archie closed his eyes, trying to sleep. It bothered him that he hadn't went to check on Connor, but it didn't seem like the boy cared. It didn't seem like the boy liked him very much. He yawned, rolling to his side as he drifted to sleep.
Sofia tipped toed down the hall as the sun rose. Her parents had woken her up as they were getting ready for work before the weekend. She yawned, walking slowly over to the couch expecting to find Archer. "Archie," She drawled sleepily. "I sorry. I fell 'sleep in momma's room and Jassie slept alone."

Connor rolled over with a groan, lifting the letter and folding it, setting it beneath everything in his bag. "Mm.. H-hey.. S'okay. Y-you wanna feed him..?" He coughed, rubbing at his aching and now bruised stomach as he sat up slowly, reached for his medication.

Sofie rubbed at her eyes, looking up at Connor. "Okay," She smiled, and looked over the bottle of medication. "I thought you sleep in Archie's room?" She asked, pointing down the hall. "You done fighting?" Her hair frizzed all around from rolling in pillows. The pigtails barely implaced, she tugged at the rubberbands.
