He laughed, and stepped over to the swing to take a seat. "Thank you, ma'am." Cameron smirked, turning his body slightly to face her. She was just someone he couldn't take his eyes off. He sat a bit closer than before, but still far enough away that they weren't touching. "Have you started to read any of those books yet?" He asked after awhile, glancing up to catch her gaze.

She nodded, her heart beating a little faster as he caught her gaze. She was all too aware of the silence around them, the fact that it was just the two of them out here. "Actually, I'm a good ways into The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe." She said with a smile, reaching over to fix a piece of his hair that had fallen out of place before she folded her hands back into her lap.

"Is it any good?" He asked, eyes watching as her finger brushed back his hair. A soft smirk crossed his face. Now, if only he had an excuse to get closer to her. He sighed, and looked to the other side of the porch. Cameron wondered what she was thinking. His fingers tapped lightly against his pants, and moved to where one leg rested on the swing, he was now leaning against the arm rest of the swing, while the other touched the porch floor, rocking the slowly back and forth. "You know, you're about the sweetest girl I've ever met."

She nodded her head. "So far, it's very good." She said with a smile, looking him over as his gaze trailed to the other side of the porch. She couldn't bring herself to pretend she didn't know he was more than likely taken, even if she wanted to. "You must not know a lot of girls then." She said quietly. She thought all girls were sweet. Or they were supposed to be. At least to men. It was rude to be anything but sweet, right?

Cameron chuckled quietly, letting his hands rest on his lap. "I wouldn't exactly say I know them, but I've met quite a few." He shrugged. "I don't make friends easily," He joked, knowing it was his own fault that he barely had any friends. It didn't bother him, he enjoyed meeting new people, and he wasn't really for the whole getting attatched thing. "What about you? Do you make friends easily?" His eyebrow rose, and he showed off his pearly whites as he gave Elaine a grin.

She shook her head. She honestly didn't have any friends. She distanced herself from everyone except children and her family. Most people judged them once they found out she was either adopted or her mother couldn't walk. It seemed like those two things turned people off to her for whatever reason. But she guessed it didn't bother her. It just showed who her true friends are. "I'm.. not exactly a people-person.." She said quietly, looking down at the watch. She flipped open the little lid, checking the time. She should really be getting to bed. But she also didn't want to leave the boy. 'Get it together, Lainee. You can't have him.' She thought, and carefully slid off the swing.
"I know I said I wouldn't turn you away, but it's about time I get to bed.. It's getting late." She said quietly. "And I don't need Rosie waking up and wondering why I'm outside with no good reason. Goodnight, Cameron." She gave him a gentle smile before she started towards the door.

"I don't believe that," He drawled, watching as she flicked the watch open. He didn't know how such a sweet girl couldn't be a peoples peron, unless she just didn't talk to anyone. But she was talking to him, and that made him pretty happy. His eyes wondered after her as she slid from the swing. "Elaine.." He whispered, sliding off the swing after her. Cameron caught her by the hand, pulling her close. With her face only inches away, he drew in a shaky breath wanting to feel the touch of her lips against his even more. His other hand wrapped around her waist, bringing her closer. He leaned in the rest of the way, connecting their lips for a sweet short kiss. As he pulled away, he felt embarrassed, and let her go immediately. "I'm sorry. Goodnight," He spoke softly before turning to leave.

She blushed as he took her hand, a bit surprised at the action. She brought a hand to his chest at the kiss, leaning closer to him as she kissed him back. Her heart was racing and her mind was spinning and she didn't know what to think. All she knew was deep down, she'd really wanted this. She reached for his hand as he left, gently taking him by the wrist. "Don't be sorry.." She said quietly, looking up at him. She bit her lip, looking over his face. He was so utterly perfect.

He brushed her cheek gently, a smile forming on his lips as he was told not to be sorry. "It was pushy and we don't know each other." Cameron mumbled, casting his gaze downward. He kept his mouth shut, didn't want to ramble on like a fool full of nerves. His eyes slowly made their way back to her face, and he chewed his lip nervously. "You're just so beautiful and sweet.. I couldn't resist."

She reached up, gently running her fingers over his cheek. She wasn't sure what to think of the words he was saying, what to think of the fact he'd just kissed her for no real reason. "It's okay. Because you've been on my mind a lot the last few days." She said quietly, her hand falling back to rest on his chest where it had been.

"Really?" He smirked gently, resting his right hand on the small of her back. Cameron tilted her chin up before kissing her again. He kissed her deeply this time, holding her close against his body. He backed off a couple inches, his eyes opening to look into hers. "I thought about you, too." He admitted with shaky breaths. He couldn't explain the feeling bubbling in the pit of his stomach, but knew it was from the kiss. "And your freckles," He teased softly, pushing back a few of her curls.

She pressed close to him as he kissed her again, holding tightly to his shirt as she kissed him back. She smiled as he pulled away, her blue eyes looking up into his. She smiled, leaning up to kiss him softly again. "You'd better be getting home before dawn decides to break." She said quietly, even if she really didn't want him to go. She slowly let go of his shirt, searching his face in the dark. She almost didn't know what to think, especially since she was sure he was taken.

Her lips were soft, and he didn't want the kiss to end. A smirk appeared on his lips as she spoke. "Do I get to see you again?" He asked quietly, not letting her go just yet. His head was clear for the first time, and he enjoyed the silence. His eyes searched her's, and he started to wonder if she felt what he was feeling. If she wanted him just as bad as he wanted her. A sigh escaped passed his lips as he ran his hand up her arm and then back down again before intertwinning their fingers.

"Whenever you want to." She said quietly, looking up at him. She didn't think she'd ever had such horrible butterflies before, that her heart had ever beaten so fast. She smiled over at him, squeezing his hand gently. She carefully wrapped her free arm around his neck, hugging him tightly. She didn't want him to leave, didn't want to be apart from him. But she knew he had to get home and she had to get to bed.

"Tomorrow then?" He asked, trying to put off leaving as long as he could. But if he kept her any longer, there was a chance of someone waking up and finding them. With his free hand, he reached up to cover a yawn that finally forced it's way out. "I don't want you to get in trouble, so.." Cameron held the back of her head, gently and leaned forward, giving her one last kiss. He kissed her deeply, but didn't push any further. "Goodnight." He whispered as he pulled back a few inches.
